Today, we celebrated the incredible achievements of our local students who are bridging the gap between education and a professional career. Under the leadership of our CEO, Folāsaitu Sorepa F. Thomas, we are honored to highlight the powerful partnership between ASTCA, ASCC, and the Department of Education.

🛠️ 3 Nu’uuli Vocational Technical High School Students – Gaining vital Work-Based Learning Experience (SY 2026).
LE VASA CABLE PROGRESSED:

On Saturday, April 25, survey teams from SubCom conducted initial shoreline and nearshore assessments. The work included Beach Manhole inspections and underwater surveys to review the proposed cable landing area and help determine how the cable will come ashore. This phase, many years in the making, is an important step toward expanding internet capacity, speed, and reliability across the Territory.

American Samoa also welcomed key project partners, including representatives from AP Telecom, who are supporting the project’s funding and development efforts. An Ava Ceremony was held this morning, Tuesday, April 28, 2026, to formally welcome the delegation at Aoloau; Maota i Siliaga.

This show highlights Samoan Language Month (Masina o le Gagana Samoa), which is to preserve, promote, and perpetuate our Samoan language.
The theme this year is “Your future and your Samoan language” (O lou Lumana’i ma lau Gagana Samoa).

ASTCA Public School HOSA Donation Initiative – 02/27/2026

The American Samoa Telecommunications Authority (ASTCA) recently visited each public school across American Samoa to present a monetary donation in support of HOSA – Future Health Professionals. As a community-owned telecommunications provider, ASTCA is committed to investing in the next generation of healthcare leaders by providing financial support that helps students participate in competitions, conferences, and health-related activities. ASTCA is proud to support our schools and students as they work toward a healthier and stronger future for American Samoa.
Mardi Gras Benefit Night
ASTCA is thrilled to support the Holy Family Parish’s Mardi Gras Fundraiser for the Diocese of Samoa, Pago Pago. We’re donating amazing raffle prizes to help raise funds for Hope House, Catholic Schools, Seminary Education, and local youth programs.
